Travel Healthy – Tips to Come Home Without the Flu

Whether for vacation, vacation or adventure, you must always take steps to stay healthy. The tightness of the trip itself, with disturbed sleep cycles, fatigue, changes in diet and activity can make you easily sick.

Here are some precautions you should take:

Stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water (6 to 8 cups)

Sitting in one place for even more than a few hours can cause the formation of blood clots in the legs, which can cause serious or even fatal conditions. If you sit on a plane for more than a few hours, make sure you get up and stretch or go for a walk, using leg muscles.

Vaccines for travelers is one of the most important part of traveling.

If you can't get up while sitting, you can move your legs up and down and spin for 1 minute. Then you can stretch your legs as much as possible. (If necessary, you can put pressure on the seat holder in front of you.) Hold on tight for 30 seconds. Next, deep massage your legs from the calf to the upper thigh for 1 minute.

If you are on a rough trip, make sure you have the right first aid kit. This can be easily purchased at your local drug store. Band-Aids, wound dressing, pain relief, ointments, and small scissors are the staples of good first aid kits.

Make sure you have access to uncontaminated water and, if necessary, carry and use several purification tablets. Boil local water before drinking to reduce the possibility of further disease. We recommend that you do both. If you anticipate the possibility of a minor injury, you should take travel-related vaccines. Of course, always make sure you have access to communication in cases of serious illness or emergency.
